Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How do I attach a tactical light to the Uni-Max?
A: Simply follow the manufacturer's instructions for attaching the accessory to the firearm. The Uni-Max rail is identical to a Picatinny-style firearm rail.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Can the Uni-Max Laser System be fitted onto a rail system other than Picatinny/Mil-Spec or Weaver styles?
A: Yes. The Uni-Max Laser System can be easily attached to rail adapters. Just about every firearm manufacturer that offers a non-standard rail also offers an adapter that will be compatible with the Uni-Max!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Can the Uni-Max be used on a long gun?
A: Yes. The Uni-Max system was designed to be rugged enough for use on pistols, rifles, shotguns and even machine guns. In coming months, we will be offering a momentary activation switch accessory for long gun platforms which will allow remote activation.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Does the Uni-Max laser pulse like LaserMax's guide rod lasers?
A: Yes. The Uni-Max system comes set for a high-visibility pulsing beam (recommended). However, the system can also be easily set for a steady on beam, based on user preference. The user can make this adjustment of pulsing or constant-on beam whenever he or she chooses! (see manual for complete details)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Why does LaserMax recommend the pulsing beam option over the constant on beam option?
A: Studies have shown that the human eye can pick up moving objects three times faster than stationary objects. The same is true for laser beams. The pulsing beam (-aka- modulated beam) has much higher visibility, dramatically increasing the speed of target acquisition.
